Who we are

This website is operated by Jacob Botos, trading as JB Bricklayer ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader based in Harrow, London. For the purposes of UK data protection law, JB Bricklayer is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

• Your name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Your location or area
• The type of work and details you provide about your project

If you accept advertising cookies (see Cookie Policy), we also receive information from Google about how you interacted with our ads, so we can measure whether our advertising is working.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
• Arrange, carry out and invoice any work you ask us to do
• Keep basic business and accounting records

Our legal basis for this is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and subsequently to perform that contract. Where we keep records for accounting purposes, our legal basis is a legal obligation and our legitimate interest in running the business properly.

Where we use Google Ads conversion tracking, our legal basis is your consent, given (or withheld) through the cookie banner on this site. You can withdraw that consent at any time — see the Cookie Policy.

Sharing your information

We don't sell your information. We do share it with a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Formspree — processes and delivers the contact form submissions to us. Formspree is based in the United States.
• Google — provides Google Ads conversion tracking, only if you've consented to advertising cookies. Google is based in the United States.

Where these providers are based outside the UK, they provide appropriate safeguards for that transfer (such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or their certification under the UK-US Data Bridge / EU-US Data Privacy Framework). How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry and job information for as long as we're in contact with you or carrying out work for you, and for up to 6 years afterwards to meet our accounting and legal record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete or anonymise it. If your enquiry doesn't lead to any work, we keep it for a shorter period before deleting it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your information
• Ask for your information to be provided to you or another organisation in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it

How to complain
